SA1 Olympic Weightlifting Academy Open March 3rd 2022

SA1 is a Weightlifting Academy for Weightlifting Wales. We are a competitive team of lifters who compete in a variety of competitions from grass root tournaments to British championships, commonwealth and Olympic Games. All weightlifting sessions are coached and all lifters follow training programmes planned by British Weightlifting performance staff. The club is open to all. Our competitive age groups are:- u13, u15, u17, u20, u23 and Senior.

Members also participate in Weightlifting for recreation, health and well-being; following 

carefully planned training programmes with fitness and health goals and not competing in events.

There are opportunities for all members to become involved with coaching, officiating and other volunteer roles. SA1 has in place a development programme to educate and qualify members in these roles and to support their development.
